Just like everyone in the review section ive been having an issue with the store and getting my my glasses. Last year i went in and paid for glasses and contacts. I did receive warranty on my glasses. In the beginning of September i went in to get the warranty on my glasses and was told they would arrive 3-5 weeks. 3 weeks later I call and ask if they have arrived. I was told no they havent but in a nother 2 weeks they should be here. 2 weeks later i decided to stop by and ask about my glasses. I show up and the store is completely closed with a sign on the front door. It said for glasses pick up got to this location or call the corporate office for questions. The location they say to pick up your glasses is in west valley? How inconveniente for me to drive all the way to west valley for glasses that i placed at the orem location near my house? I called the corporate office many times and no one answer me. I then called the west valley location and a lady did answer. I told her my situation, her tone of voice you could tell she didnt care. She then told me my glasses werent ready. At this point I've been waiting over a month now and she said it would take 3 more weeks. She also mentioned how she goes down to the orem store 1 to 2 times a week to give out glasses/contacts. Well 3 weeks later and I have tried calling the orem store, west valley store and the corporate office.. still no answer.. I have been going to this location for YEARS and havent had an issue till last year.. i hope i get my glasses lol.. save yourself the time and money...

Same issue as everyone else from these reviews over the past 6 months. We ordered frames (not even the lenses), paid for them, were given a date range for when they would arrive, waited well beyond that range, and have since been told that Standard Optical has no idea when they might arrive, cannot even provide a vague 'next month' or 'the month after,' and I can't cancel the order.

So, if you enjoy the rush of gambling, consider ordering your frames here. They may even arrive some day. And if they don't, pretty much every single store has figured out a way to only sell products they can provide their customers...so go literally anywhere else that sells glasses until this location can figure out how to....everything.

Sounds like the doctor is great though from the reviews.

The doctor was very nice as well as the staff however it's been 9 months since I ordered my contacts and they still don't know when they will come in. They are always nice and apologetic and offer samples (but they are different contacts and they hurt my eyes so not really helpful.) Unless you are in no rush of ever getting your contacts I suggest go elsewhere. I have since gone somewhere else and ordered the exact contacts again and had them in under 2 weeks! I have no idea why they are having issues with their distributor, but it's just not worth the wait. I used my Insurance benefits so hope I get them someday! I also ordered glasses for my daughter there and they were completely crooked and bent. They still don't fit well to this day.

Do not go here! They are overpriced and the employees are encouraged to upsale you. Just go get glasses and contacts from Costco it'll be much cheaper. They abuse the trust you put in them by telling the employees wrong wait times for glasses and contacts to keep you placated. The doctor and employees are amazing, but the company is greedy and doesn't care about their patients.

Something fishy is going on with this optical! We ordered (and paid for!!!!) contact lenses for 3 family members 5 months ago and they’re still not in with no eta. Do not give these guys your money!

My experience here was great. I had three kids go in on the same day, they were quick, kind, friendly and very informative. Pierce helped each of my kids pick out glasses that were affordable and stylish. He was helpful and kind. I would recommend Standard Optical in Provo to any of my friends and family. Make sure you ask for Pierce, he'll make sure you get the best customer service available and he'll answer any questions you might have. Thanks Provo location for making this experience amazing ?

My visit today to Standard Optical was great. Optician Mady was very helpful, friendly and professional. She helped me get the diabetic eye exam, which is the one I needed. She was very accommodating in rescheduling my husband's exam for another day. She helped me pick out 2 new pairs of frames and got me the best price through my insurance. Dr. Lewis does a great job. He's very thorough when giving my eye exam and answering any questions I have. I will definitely use their services again.
