I have been an Accent On Vision customer for about 20 years. I have always had good experiences with eye exams and glasses and contact lens purchases.
I had an exceptional visit today with Dr. Matthew McCourt. He explained things in a way that I understood. I have zero medical knowledge and understanding and I thought he did an exceptional job using language that I understood.
Thank you Accent On Vision and Dr. McCourt for an exceptional visit.

Dr. Zucker is awesome and such a great sense of humor!

Update from 7/21/23
Dee was awesome as she helped find frames for my new eye glass prescription. Of course, I enjoyed Dr. Zucker's humor again this year!

If it wasn’t for the consultants/sales people in the office, I would give this location 5 stars. The receptionists are always kind, along with the staff who help conduct your exams. The doctor’s are also awesome. Everything when you first arrive to your appointment is great, UNTIL you have to sit down with someone to talk money. I went in to update my prescription and was also interested in contacts. I was not told until much later that my insurance will only cover one or the other. I was told this after I paid for my updated script (which btw, was $250 that I paid AFTER insurance for frames that I wanted to re-use!!). Not to mentioned the 3 attempts they made to just get me to buy new frames (more $). I came back a week later to get my contacts and was relieved I only had to pay $28 to take a bulk supply home. Luckily, after they delivered to my house, I didn’t open them yet (I still had some leftover from the consultation visit) and got a call that I needed to come back and pay $150 for my contacts!! I was so bummed… I was super excited to finally have contacts and as a graduate student who has a tight budget, I could not afford to pay out of pocket for these contacts after I just paid $250 for my lenses. However, I understood after they explained the insurance policy.. BUT WAIT- it doesn’t stop there. After I went back to return the contacts and expecting to get the $28 back that I paid, I was told I actually still OWE a little under $80. I asked how is that possible I’ve returned what you gave me and paid everything I needed to for my lenses the first visit. They told me I was accidentally “undercharged” for my lenses and needed to pay the leftover balance. Apparently, the salesperson who took care of me when I paid for my lenses added a premium coating without even telling me, which my insurance only covers 20%. I told them “Okay, I get that. But I never asked for the premium coating. So can you just take the frames and put the regular coating so I’m not charged extra?” They told me they couldn’t do that and that after speaking with a supervisor, the best they could do was use my $28 credit from the contacts I returned towards the bill and then deduct another $20. That was nice, I guess, but regardless, I was still left with paying even more money. My experience was so negative because I felt like each time I was contacted after my first initial visit, it was because they wanted more money from me. I blame ONLY the staff that I dealt with during my 3 visits in the past 30 days. I’ve never had issues with anyone else there in the past (with the exception of constant pressure I get from the salespeople to buy stuff) but this experience definitely makes me weary about ever going back. My advice to everyone- KNOW what you’re paying at all times and make sure it’s accurate.

we Love Accent on Vision. Today I had an exceedingly excellent experience with Chalon. I tried a new and different pair of glasses that fit all the favorites I was hoping for. Purple, designer, BLING!! These are a progressive pair and found them to be the best size for my needs. Chalon helped me navigate through this sometimes-awkward process in life. If you feel insecure and need glasses, give this business a try. I was so happy when I left and I wanted to show off my glasses and the retail bag (picture below) to other people who enjoy these moments like I did. Everything and more. Getting glasses should be a fun experience. It is an opportunity to try a new tool to SEE and express yourself with color and design. As I age I find getting the glasses is a little like getting a new car. Accent on Vision keeps a GRAND selection of glasses at different prices and all high to low end designers and other brands. It's all here. We have great experiences with Erica, Dr Zucker and a lot of talented and caring professionals that are here every year when we return. I feel it's reassuring in this ever-changing world! If you are looking for a place to visit every year for your needs, this is the best we have found in Tucson. They take all types of insurance and will help you figure out what you need and keep your records straight. Relax, Release, and check out Accent on Vision on Oracle Rd near Ina. A+++++++THANK YOU CHALON!!!

The eye exam with the Dr was done so fast, I had to slow her down & told her to allow me to see the lenses she was doing the exam with again, she kept saying 1 or 2 but would move the lenses way to fast for me to see through them clearly. Finally I got her to slow down and listen to what I was telling her and what I expected my lenses to do for me. She ended up given me a regular prescription and also one for progressive lenses so I could work on the computer with more ease. After I picked my frames, the girl helping me decided she was going to do the sunglasses progressive, but that’s not what I wanted or asked for. I specifically stated the sunglasses needed to be single vision & I wanted a separate pair with the progressive lenses for seeing nearsighted and farsighted. When she did the totals it was way over $900 after my insurance had paid & the eye exam was done. I told her my main concern was to have the sunglasses first then I could work on the second pair in a few weeks. Well after taking a super long time with her, she ended up doing my sunglasses with progressive lenses and when I received them the left lens was not right at all and my eyes could not adjust to them after a week. I called her only to hear that they could make them single vision but wouldn’t return my money for the cost of the progressive lenses. After debating a few days, the manager was kind enough to order the single vision lenses and refund me a portion of what I paid, but they ended taking a lot as they said it was for the polarized lens and whatnot. Today I pick up so let’s see how they turned out… and if they were worth the price they charged me for…

AOV has a great selection of glasses but it stops there. They are very expensive and their production time in the lab is waaay too long, longer than expected & then longer. My first lenses came back later than expected and then were missing a crucial part of the prescription so they were sent back again for round 2. Still waiting.
My father has been waiting 7 weeks for his corrected sunglasses. Everyone makes mistakes, but this place has had several mistakes in our family alone.
My mom, however has gotten 2 great pairs with no hiccups. I'll try them one more time, again because of the selection, but that will be the last chance I give them.

The service is becoming substandard. I ordered glass and the work was not the quality I’m use to. Had to send them back to wait another two weeks. After two and a half weeks, I decided to call. They were ready and they never called me. The eye exam was substandard also. The optometrist seem bored and was just doing bare minimum. Got a second exam from another source and found out my glasses need prisms. That’s why I can’t clearly see certain things. I’ve purchased more than $3k in eye wear and this was my last purchase with them…never again will I be treated like that.
